Wine Profile

Tasting Notes Lush, fruity and fragrant, bursting with aromas and flavors of raspberries and red fruit. Round and well balanced, with perfectly integrated structure, acidity and fruit; immediately appealing and easy to drink for all its richness and complexity.
Vineyard Notes Very old (70-100-year old) Primitivo vines at Torricella, Sava, Manduria and Gioia del Colle grown on a particular type of crumbly, dark reddish brown soil
Production Notes Fermentation is very cold (16° C, 60.8° F) and lasts several weeks, with the grapes' own wild yeasts. Left to settle over the cold winter months, then racked & placed in small barrels of new, French and American oak for 8 to 10 weeks.
Food Pairing Notes Serve it to match flavorful pasta dishes, red meat, cheese, and as an all-around food wine.
