Wine Profile

Tasting Notes Intense deep red with violet highlights. The nose is very intense and complex. Its complexity is given by lots of layers of aromas, first one finds fresh fruit notes such as black cherries, raspberries, blackberries, blackcurrant and cassis. After the fruits, spices like white pepper and mint appear. AT the end, notes from the wood like chocolate, caramel, smoke and toast. This is a wine of great harmony and length in the mouth. It's very flesh and meaty, with fine, round tannins that have a small grip. The Cabernet Sauvignon contributes to the tannic structure and the Malbec lends its flesh, meaty and round character making this combination so interesting. The aromas in mouth are very complex and repeats those detected on the nose. It is elegant, with acidity that emphasizes its freshness, confers balance and makes both easy to drink and also concentrated wine.
Ratings Rated 90 Points Wine Spectator - "Firm and focused, with good cut to the dark plum, blackberry and dark currant flavors, featuring notes of tar and cocoa powder. Cream and milk chocolate details show on the spicy finish, delivering hints of green olive. Drink now through 2020. 600 cases imported. –KM"
Production Notes Fermentation lasts 25 to 30 days and malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards the wine is aged for 16 months in new French Oak barrels followed by additional bottle ageing for at least a year.
